Doha-Qatar, November 7, 2016 – Fifty One East, Qatar’s favorite department store, recently hosted a fashion and trunk show for legendary Naeem Khan with the presence of the designer himself.

The renowned designer made his debut in Qatar with a fashion show followed by a two day trunk show at the luxury department store at Lagoona Mall. Fifty One East presented Khan’s Summer 2017 Bridal and the Spring Summer 2017 ready-to-wear collections, both of which were influenced by the pioneering fashion designer Halston, whom Khan had the tremendous privilege of being mentored by in the 1970’s.

Khan launched his eponymous collection in 2003 and began selling major retailers across the world. Since then his luxurious collection of impeccably cut dresses, sophisticated gowns and classy separates have adorned glamorous women around the world, including Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Lopez, Diane Kruger, First Lady Michelle Obama, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, to name a few.

Khan presented his latest collections on November 5 in a Fashion Show in the presence of preeminent style watchers, fashion influencers and members of the style press; Followed by a Trunk Show running till November 7. Red, blue, black, featured prominently in his ready-to-wear collection, in big bold patterns that were constructed in spectacular silhouettes.

His collection further utilized embellishments such as colorful lace, glass fringe and painted prints to energize materials and unique patterns. His celebrated bridal collection was rich in lace and embroideries. Flowing sleeveless gowns with silver spangles and lattice work showcased the attention to detail that has been the trademark of Khan’s bridal work. Each signature piece was hand stitched and shaped to absolute perfection.
